Nice capture, I would crop to contain only the cast shadow and perhaps add contrast to make shadow go black. Your tones are limited so your composition is just a series of grays, the shadow saves the image.
Nice, this is beginning to make me experiment more in Black and White.

I know you like things darker than I do, but I think this is way too dark. Black and white is entirely about patterns and tonality. In this image, you make use of only about half the possible tonal range:
In this case, the result is that there is very little in the way of patterns or tonal contrast in about 3/4 of the image.
Maybe a slight crop from the top and left side? Possibly increase highlights a fraction; but keep the shadows dark?
I saw the same as Dan and his screen capture shows. I like it after a vertical and horizontal flip[ along with white point adjustments]
