    That is very nice Jim,

    The only thought that crossed my mind was whether you needed quite so much of the flowers, I'd be tempted to crop about 8% of picture height off the bottom edge.

    Yes, it is - although seeing it now, I might clone out the two 'disconnected' buds on right.
    I suggest that because I don't think you should crop any higher (e.g. to remove them by that means).

    What else can I say that Dave hasn't covered...very nice capture...how close were you from the butterfly?

    Not much critique here.

    Simply, I like it and I can see the change in the second image.

    And it does make the butterfly more of "the hero".

    I like the original. It reflects the light on the entire flower, which to me, enhances the entire photo.

    No matter what you decide, it's a beautiful capture!
