Just not understanding what you are trying to capture in this one John.

I like it John, as I'm a fan of BnW landscapes I would crop the image from the LHS just a bit to eliminate that black thing coming into the frame from left.

    Hi Izzie,

Thanks for commenting. I used Elements to convert, I played with the color channels a bit more than I normally do. I use my UWA very rarely, but when I do I try the Deep Depth of Field Technique. I felt the cast shadows in the foreground were interesting enough to engage the viewer and the brightness of the horizon would immediately attract the viewer's gaze.

A good view of the lake scene, John.

This is a matter of personal taste, but for me the image is a bit too dark and contrasty, giving it a stark, cool feeling - if it were mine, I would try lightening it a bit and also try a very slight warm toning effect.

Just curious - what are the triangular lumps in the foreground?

    Cheers.

    Hi Philip,

The triangular lumps are I believe the base of blossom trees about to be planted. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Very interesting; I'm wondering if one of mine might benefit from B&W, sometimes it is better. I like the clouds and shadows, it is dramatic.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the comments. The decision to make one B & W came during the PP stage, as I adjusted tones the more interesting they became in the foreground and that is what is important with a Deep Depth of Field image.

Great capture and the B&W process works fine. Its razor sharp though, Maybe just a little too sharp?
