    Easy virtue. Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie is a remote gold mining town in Western Australia, renowned at least in earlier days for its louche lifestyle. This was taken with a shutter speed of 1/6s through a moving bus window but still seems to show enough detail. It's ironic that the Virtu clothing shop is next door. I hope the picture conveys the spirit of the place.

Western Australia is one of my favourite places...were you there on a visit? For a moving bus shot, this is pretty good...I am not going to ask you to tidy up that supermarket trolley, don't worry...it seems to be the atmosphere of any place to have one or two of them around this kind of joint.

Nicely done especially considering the shooting conditions.

Very nice.......I have been on our travels around Australia, several time to Kalgoorlie, like Izzie, I like West Australia too, although a couple of days in Kalgoorlie were enough for me

Just want to apologise to new members who might see this. Honestly, the humour is not always this bad.

True, but L. Paul's humour is always at least that bad.

Yes indeed, but he is a Kiwi

You've done well Tony to capture that building under the circumstances. But I can't really see any evidence of the "easy virtue".

It was a genuine question. At a 1/6s from a moving bus and little indication of blur there is a good chance he was panning.

I don't know you ask a simple question and you get a whole lot of personal comments...

A sort of reverse panning, I suppose, where you follow the stationary subject.

As for the jokes, keep em coming mate !

Thanks, everyone for all the comments.

Dave, I think you have to look closely through the lighted windows on the top story to see the bad behaviour (?)

L.Paul, I enjoyed your comment. My sense of humour was honed as a 14 year old when I was in a boys only boarding school, many decades ago. It hasn't matured since then.

Izzie, I have to say that I did not even notice the shopping market trolley. I had already removed a car in that corner of the picture. It must have been hiding behind the car This image is actually left over from last year when we went by train to Perth and had only a couple of hours at night in Kalgoorlie. Perth was nice and the wine south of there even better. When I am brave enough, I will try to photograph one of the bottles from the Donnelly River winery for Mike.
