Is it street photography or sea photography? Nicely captured.

What appealed to you? Was it because they are looking in the same direction? I like the composition...are they fishermen? Just curious...

Just because there is no "street" doesn't mean it is not street photography....

Thanks John, not sure what genre it comes under, perhaps 'snap'

    Hi Izzie,

Suspect it was the intense staring into the same direction looking for signs of fish on the surface.

I managed a few decent captures of the net being cast but the purpose of the outing was to play with my new monopod with the D800 plus the 80-400mm on it, magic

It somehow holds together Graham - the blue and the orange perhaps - but it does beg for an explanation to go with it. What are they doing? What are they looking at?

Are they waiting for something? It does not matter. There may be mystery afoot.

What appealed to me in this shot is that they echo one another's pose...really beautiful composition...Excellent shot!!

I like this term John, "holds together", the best explanation so far.

Thanks for commenting Ole. I wonder if the fish are staring at them so intently

For info it was a father and son team Izzie, we had a chat when they had finished.

I like it, and as always beautifully photographed. I wonder if you had the chance if you could try this one again, just as is but with the man in back throwing the fishing net out to sea. I think it could make for a very dreamy image.

    Here's a few Izzie.

Unfortunately these were shot at the wrong time of day and the lighting is a bit boring so when the opportunity arises I'll be back there early evening with this combo to try and capture with the light from behind.

Thanks Christina, on my next adventures to shoot these net fishermen I'll start looking for other scenes rather than just my normal concentration on capturing the net in the air.

It's pretty unusual to be able to capture two in the same frame but an interesting challenge

If I am you, I would have a few of these too...I like action shots...

Oh btw...I think you forgot to update your kit in your signature...where is the D800 you used to take these shots?
