Re: San Diego Parrot Rescue
The colours in #1 and #2 do not seem possible. Quite extraordinary. A good example of where BW would not be an option. As for the rescue, my wife and I 'rescued' a baby Woodpecker yesterday, stranded (stunned) on our drive. I had to scoop him up in a towel, and eventually he flew off. Such a nice moment, I completely forgot to go and get my camera - so no shots, BW or colour!

What a great thing to do! Parrots are cool, but demanding - needing a lot of attention; it's nice to let people interact with them before committing to it! Awesome pictures - great colors indeed!

Re: San Diego Parrot Rescue
I really like a wide range of animals, but confess to finding parrots a bit scary. See the loppers on that No 2 guy up there - he'd whack your finger off without pausing for breath. Give me a nice, wee budgie any day. But it is a very worthy cause for those that can take on and live successfully with a parrot for all the years that a parrot can live. Dedication, that.

These are all nice shots Richard.
Only thing is, the paint has started to rub off of the chap in #1, time for another dip in the paint pot I think
If we're talking personal preferences, I'd like #3, for the colouring (at least you wouldn't lose it).
Way to late to consider having one now though - it would definitely outlast me!
I hope they didn't eat the polystyrene
Cheers,

Yep, and those wee beasties in #2 are about a metre long, tail included
I saw them in a bird park in Brasil, where you could go in the cage (at your own risk, there were large, multilingual warnings posted!) And btw, the colours are that vivid, including for the yellow guy.
