Welcome back David, nice to see you posting again Very interesting metalic golden colors in #1 and #3. Is it because those are different type of spiders? I really wonder what that tiny red bug is in #1. It would be nice to see close up shots of it too

Thank you Binnur, good to be back the golden colour is just the lighting as they were getting more sun 1, 3 and 4 are all different types of Crab Spider, #2 is a Nursery Web Spider as for the red thing (some type of mite?) I would need a microscope for a close up of those

I am not a huge fan of spiders but I looked for as long as I could with one eye shut

Nice (technically, not visually for me ) shots, the first guy looks pretty mean.

    Perfect angles.

Xysticus species, with red mite attached. Pisaura mirabilis. Another Xystics sp. Misumena vatia or a close relative? The head seems a bit straight sided so possibly one which we don't get here?

Spiders are cool as long as they are just in pictures, not gonna touch that anymore...the first one has that red pill with legs. Where is the blue pill where the story ends??? Do you really want that bug to stay in wonderland?

Second one is just eeeeyawwww!!! That third shot is sort of big fatty well fed one. With that background he is on, it looks like he is just a tinnie weenie thingie...what's that on the back of #4???

Cheers Geoff, thanks again for the more detailed I.D.

I tried to open up the bug thread to post these but unfortunately it has reached the pull my hair out stage waiting for it to open due to my crap internet service where I'm situated in Turkey, the thread for me is just to large now

These are fascinating, as usual. My knowledge of biology could be written on the back of the mite, but it is amazing to me that a living thing could fit its complexity into such a small space.

    Re: Spider Mix

There are some thoughts about asking for more forums to spread the load a bit, David; but as always, there are pluses and minuses with such an idea. Possibly it is now time to start another general bugs thread for anyone to contribute?

    Re: Spider Mix

Hi Geoff, I agree about the pluses and minuses, for me a plus is I can post on a thread that is not to large, and minus, large threads as I stated earlier are just no good for me( crap internet ) But that is only me, so if everyone that posts on the bug thread is happy please keep it going, on the other hand if you want to try something different, why not limit each bug thread to say five pages or so?
