    Top of the Tide

    Went back down on the marsh today in the hope that the incoming tide would drive a few birds closer to me than they have been previously. The birds were a miserable failure but I quite liked this one. C&C always welcome.

    +1 to Chris's comment...I like the composition and conversion too. And the treatment of the clouds is excellent...somehow I always like the undulating path of the water here...

    I like the composition IMO the crisp look of the trees competes with the clouds, I would reduce the sharpening on the trees to make them less distracting.

    I love the composition of this. You caught the moving boat just in the right place IMO. Not sure if I agree with Binnur. I'm thinking the clouds actually compete with the scene. But very nice photo.

    Thanks all for the comments. I think that in trying to avoid a bland sky, I might have over processed that area including the tree line. Perhaps slightly less contrast in the sky and allowing the trees to merge into it more would be better. Might give it a try.
