    The Rising Sun Casts the Beauty and Broke the silence of the Nile

    Fellow Members,

    These two photos were taken on the cruise in the River Nile to Luxor. It took us three nights from Assawn to Luxor and the Nile was real peaceful in the early morning. I had my time on the deck and took many shots.

    These shots looks pretty good, Cksee. Possible for you to upload bigger sizes?

    I like the way the sun is not reflected; I don't know how you do it. Of course I'm assuming it is just one image and not clever PP. Nice photo's but I haven't been able to emulate this stuff.

    Hi CK,

    These are quite nice, although do have a couple of comments;
    I think the first would have benfited from being focused on the distant sunset and river bank, rather than the ships deck, although, if there had been someone there relaxing, that might have been different.

    The second might be better with the sun less centrally placed in my view, I wonder, have you seen this technique page written by Sean (McQ) the site owner? If you have, and/or know all about it, please forgive my blunder in directing you to it.

    Hope that helps and do keep posting, it is the quickest way to learn,

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I am a learner and I will take your comments at heart. I understand the One-third rule but very often I got too excited and forgot the rule. While working in Abu Dhabi, I will try to show you more on the city and deserts.

    Thanks

    Hi CK,

    No worries, I did too for the first few months, and still do on occasion
    (but then I usually remember in PP and crop so no one knows - shhh, don't tell anyone)

    Look forward to the follow ups (city and deserts).

    Cheers,

    Gorgeous sunsets! They made me recall my trip over there 6 years ago. I feel as I was sitting there enjoying those warm colors
