Just shows how one should be aware of all that's going on around you. Most people would not give a fading flower a second glance. Well spotted.
Although I like the flower, I'm not sure about the knocked-out appearance.

What was it your daughter called you?
Sorry, again to me this is just, in color and form, too vaginal looking
. Maybe a different colored background would make it less so. It could also just be me and the fact that the smoke image also had that vibe. I swear I normally do not see the female anatomy in things

It is knocked out...there was no stem left and I used a post-it sticky note paper for a background.
Aah...that would be true of all orchid images...n'est pas?too vaginal looking

To a certain extent but it is usually not the first thing that comes to mind when I view one I think it was the color scheme that took it there

+1 to Barbara's last comment...I've just had three of my orchid flowers fell yesterday and I was thinking of photographing it but I changed my mind...you gave this flower a second chance is a good thing but I don't like the background.

The ironical thing here is that the name 'Orchid' comes from another word for testis! The tubers are supposed to resemble testes.
