    Hi Manfred,

    Thanks for commenting. The state park did a bit of landscaping over the winter. This is a view from Bridal Falls lookout.

    I assume that there is some kind of foot bridge from Goat Island that gives visitors access to the lookout?

    Yes, I was standing on the bridge when this shot was taken.

    Mesmerizing shot, John...I like that brief view above the fog of the city scape and the strength of the rushing water -- looks wild and cold out there when you took this image...

    I have never been to Niagara Falls so this is especially interesting to me. So is that mud or water that is closest to the front of the frame at the bottom or a combination? I am having a hard time making it out.

    Hi Barbara,

    Most of the water above the falls is only a few feet deep, in this area the depth is only inches and what you are looking at are slabs of rocks.
