Big Black Bear

I know not a good image but just wanted to share. Not everyday I get to have eye contact with a bear in the wild.

Taken on my recent trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina at the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge.

Jim, those guys can run really fast for their size. How close were you and were you on foot?

I think this is great shot. It is not that often you get the opportunity to capture a big bear like this. I think the shot captures a sense of urgency and excitement. Looks like he/she is staring you down. Very Cool!
