Graham, were you on a tour or just by yourself? I love the textures of the surrounds. Simple and yet effective ... I love #2 a lot. It shows a bit of what to expect of what to see each time in each frames for all...

Nice set, Graham. I really like the colours in the first two, though.

An intriguing set of images Graham, something a bit different. Very nice.

I haven't been there for many years but I'm thinking I should go back. Your Taipan story in your other thread has me worried though !

Very nice images of a place still on my list of places to go. We were set to there some decades ago but our children got chicken pox.

I hadn't been there since 1962 and I'd forgotten how beautiful it is. Also I didn't have a camera back then so had no tangible memories.

This trip we were there for 3 days and saw 4 snakes in our travels but apart for the one taipan they were all just ridgebacks. Still, you have to be aware.

What a lovely day for you. That is my idea of a great day.
Technically, with shadows/ sun, can you give brief aspects to your photos?
    Thank you.

The first 3 are a bit dark for me but the others are really nice shots.

Thanks Nancy although not just a day trip. It's 760km (472 miles) from home and 151km (94 miles) from the nearest town but well worth the trip. We were there for 3 days.
The first three images were taken at about 11:00am on a sunny day with just a few clouds in the sky and the first two are looking in a north westerly direction in the southern hemisphere.
The third shot is almost exactly vertical, definitely steeper than this slash symbol / .

The framed fan palms were taken on a different day at 12:15pm in the middle of the day and finally the Amphitheatre was shot just a little earlier just after 11:30am. It's four landscape shots stacked vertically and stitched into a panorama.

Thanks also to David, Dean, Matt, Barbara and Binnur and for David and Binnur and other members from Turkey here's a little taste of Cappadocia in Australia which is in the Mount Moffat section of the same area. Definitely not as spectacular and widespread as your amazing area though.

Although in the same area this Mt. Moffat section is a 310km drive or part of a shorter 5 day walk from where the photos above were taken.
