Rome: St Peters Basilica (HDR) - C&C Welcome

Another chance to give this HDR a try.

I still working through this technique, but I do like the results here and against the blue sky background. I have played around with cropping and ended up back in the original composition I guess I like to see the activity (this was day before easter) and the row of chairs preparing for activities next day.

Such a lovely building! I could do without the vans but like the chairs. I would like to see some space on the top of the image the cross seems a little too close to the edge for me. Also, it seems to be a little off level. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Barbara - Yes the level seems off...I have played around with trying to get it level, not sure if there is some distortion in the image. Also, I am not sure if HDR has any play in this as well.

I have played with a couple different crops and not sure it works taking away the vans and seats. I think some work in PS to remove the vans would be the best option. This is one of those "must have" travel images when you visit Rome.

Nice job on the HDR processing. There is distortion but unless this is cropped tightly there may not be enough extra image to correct it. Looks good in any case.
