Good first picture. I prefer pictures posted at a larger size but it is large enough for me to get a fair idea that you have got all the technical aspects such as exposure and focus correct.
Have you thought of cropping some of the bottom. The dark out of focus background and lower leaves are not adding to the photograph.

The first photograph takes the most bravery - well done it gets easier.

As I had said earlier on another on another post, in this kind of flower shots, I would prefer that it has more room at the top than at the bottom. Good exposure and DOF (as Neville said above...)

Nicely done, the background at bottom is a bit distracting; find myself trying to identify what it is rather than paying attention to flower above.
