Re: Spring Flowers
You have attempted some of the subjects which always cause me problems!
I would crop #1 a little tighter on the foreground to reduce the out of focus area. Most of my shots of similar scenes get ditched.
Wood Anemones and Celandine! Both very difficult subjects. I keep trying them.
A bug and a spider in the last one. Obviously a popular flower.

Re: Spring Flowers
Cheers john,
Thank you Binnur, have to admit its my favourite of this set as well
Geoff, ah, I tried a few crops - not sure on any of them, they all sort of say what I want but none are 'right' was quite please with the shots overall, had some full sun and some overcast but strong light, the cellandine was in overcast light so did not blow out fully, they were certainly fun to take and play with exposure and ev adjustment to get the best balance

Re: Spring Flowers
#1 is just a general overview of the place so I am just looking and it seems like a nice place to shoot some flowers for spring.
#2 the green stalk at the side is not needed in the shot...and just like #2, #3 I think will be much nicer if they are cropped portrait style.
#4 is my favourite...
#5 I agree is for David...you might suggest to put some mayo in it for him...

Re: Spring Flowers
Welcome to the mini club who like the spring flowers !! I think Izzie has summed up well. I do know also that getting that overall shot of a drift of flowers is very very difficult, so well done and keep trying

Re: Spring Flowers
Thanks Barbara,
Cheers David, there was a third, a small beetle hiding in the back of the flower - keeping well out of the spiders way
