    This is a nice shot: the blurred background is interesting, and the main subject has good details. Maybe you can try to locally do a bit more sharpening
    on the FG flower to make it even more detailed.

    I used the sharpen tool at 20% and didn't see much difference until I did it TOO much. I think I might need glasses! Is that what you meant by locally? (I hope that's not a stupid questions, but I won't know if I don't ask)

    Petra, I took the liberty of giving your poppy a slight make-over with a high-pass filter, just on the foreground flower. Hope you don't mind. (Adds smilie smilie so there can be no doubt of intention)

    It makes it stand out a little more from the background.

    The original image was already very nice. After the sharpening improvement it is a winner!
