Very, very dramatic! The clouds look like fire in the sky. The shape of the clouds and the leading lines all point to the same part of the image. Great texture and tonalities in the rocks and wonderful silhouette of the pier. Exceptionally well done all around!
A bit dark, but in an artistic way and if anyone is looking, it needs to be seen at full size. A really interesting photo with lots of textures and tones to look at. Good job!
That's a good 'un Binnur. The treatment and the composition suite the subject very well.
Great image Binnur - On top of the treatment you've given the image, I love the balances that you've created in the framing:
- the bare sky in the top left corner balanced against the sea in the bottom right
- the rocks in the water on the bottom left against the clouds on the top right
- the pier on the left centre versus the hills above the water in the centre right.
dramatic, powerful, demands that I find the story you have captured. WOW!
Love the clouds, very moody!
A really great image; the clouds appearing to be rush to the horizon, that gives full life to this image; so your learning is working![]()
Thank you Mike, David, John, Manfred, Brian, Barbara and Nandakumar for your encouraging commentsI'm glad that you liked the image.
You did so well with this one, Binnur! You have learned how to use SEP and now I can't wait to see more of your work. As others have said, this is so dramatic! Nice!!!!!
Very nice, both sky, land/water, and bridge are almost similar to each other. I wonder how odd this composition would look if the cloud formation were on the left side.
Thank you very much Donna , the more I learn the more I like photography
Thank you John, I'm glad that you liked the imageI don't think I would edit this image, if the clouds were on the left side. IMO the composition would look unbalanced and very weird as you have said.
Beautiful image...
My internet is not working correctly so I cannot view the image unfortunatley... I really wanted to view some images today :-(
No I wouldn't change it, just wondering if it would lose its impact if the cloud formation were reversed, making the image more symmetrical in the way of patterns; the smooth sky on the left and the near smooth water, etc. I think this precise grouping of natural elements was mystically formed for a deserving eye.
Great work Binnur. Those clouds are amazing and add the finishing touch to a very good image.
Dave
Good work, Binnur....I have not read any of the comments but I will soon as I get my message in. I like the treatment of the water here...the whole comp is great although I am not too keen on the cloud. I am sure this cloud is more beautiful in colour. Not a B/W expert so that is actually my problem here with the clouds.
I can't make my mind up about this one Binnur, I find it harsh and I'm spending time trying to work out what time of day it was taken. I suspect it's to do with my brains natural aversion to B&W looking at scenes where it wants to see colour![]()
