Nicely captured, very rich colors. I've learned to always be aware of my surroundings after almost stepping on a lizard once. Looked around and there was another, reminded me of the scene in the King Kong remake where the hunter was overtaken by hundreds of little dinosaurs.
Nice image.
My close call was nearly stepping on a wasps' nest that had fallen out of a tree while searching for bugs for macro photography in a ditch along a dirt road in the woods. Fortunately, one flew up, and I looked down just before stepping on the nest. I'm allergic to them, so it would have been a big deal.
Yes...I'd be more scared of wasps nest and snakes....!!! You guys got lucky you looked down...
Yes be careful out there, Trevor. Particularly when one is out shooting alone a relatively simple injury can be rather inconvenient.
Regarding the image, I like having the foreground element in the scene but I'm not sure you did the seeder justice. Did you try stepping a bit left to make the wheel more visible and give the seeder a bit more three dimensional perspective? I really do like your old farm images.
I shared your doomsday hoarding strategy with my wife with the intent of convincing her I needed to do more along that line. My argument didn't fly![]()
I don't think we're getting enough of the seeder to make it more than a distraction in this image. Just out of interest, I moved the picture around in the Lightbox. If you crop it just above the seeder and create something like a 3:1 panorama, that makes for a very nice image.
Nice image, but I am glad you did not get hurt.......I am always very wary to walk through high weeds etc, because of snakes, and we have here in Australia one of the most poisonous snake, which is called the " Brown Snake " and one can find them everywhere, sometime they have even been sighted at the airport grrrrrrrr........
Griddi.....

+1 to Donald. I like the image without the seeder![]()
