#2 and #3 have a bit more in the background in terms of shapes and tones that compete a bit with the bird, but .... hey! When you're looking at this sort of quality across the board, who's counting?
This is class. Way beyond my capability. This is a specialist at work. You can't produce this sort of stuff unless you know and understand your subject. You have my admiration.

Wonderful shots, Steve! My favorite is #4, with the razor sharp detail around the head and feet, the feet trailing back like a swimmer after a dive, and the silhouette effect under the far wing. Just spectacular.
