Re: At work
Nice shot, Melania. I like the toning you present. I think, for me, there is more foreground a the bottom and on the left than needed to show the story here.

Re: At work
Great shot, maybe crop a little on the left, leave the tree on the right for perspective. That is only
my opinion.

Re: At work
Good Subject Matter. Good idea.
On one technical point, the B&W conversion is lacking in complete tonal range: accepted that it is an overcast day and the Artist's Vision is for there to be no white, but there is no Black and the greys are not extended.
Inadequate B&W conversion apropos Tonal Range is very common by Photographers who have only used Digital (i.e. never done wet Processing and Printing work), this might be your situation. It is not usually a good idea to simply de-saturate the colour digital version.

On some artistic points: I don’t think that you have used the Photograph to enhance / embellish / underscore the story as much as you could.
The key story elements are: older man making old fence look better on an overcast day – so a few points to consider:
a. we do not require such as long a lead in to the main Subject – cropping out some of that foreground fence would be a good idea
b. the few people in the background vanishing point tend to make the Viewer’s Eye clump there and not return to the story I would crop them out too
c. even if the main theme (or the main vision was) “At Work” – undeniably one other major theme is “Old” so I would embellish that theme and 'shoot and present' that story using an old 2¼sqaure TLR
Example – crop to square (remove foreground and background to emphasis key subject); reset black point; increase mid tone range:
