A Hazy Morning
Since I got my new camera in Nov I find myself doing more landscapes, which I had not previously done. I have only the 24-105 lens so far and it is making me think and see differently, usually I would use a longer zoom for most things I did. It was a hazy morning when I took this and felt that the bit of fog and the lack of people gave the seen something of a desolate feel. Thought I would see what you folks think.
Any feedback, good or bad, is always appreciated.

Re: A Hazy Morning
I'm not sure on this one. Two trees which appear to have had an argument and are now sulking at opposite ends instead of coming together?
You do have some darker cloud in the centre but I'm not certain that this is sufficient to hold the scene together.
Possibly two separate images each featuring just one tree?

Re: A Hazy Morning
I like it. No real reason or explanation, just very soothing to view. My eyes are drawn around and around the scene, from tree to tree to tables. Well done.

I agree it sort of has a fell of 'a foot in both camps' I find myself drawn more to the tree on the rt, and wonder if an angle toward that side alone might have been another option.

I like the light and colour of this shot, Rita. I think the open space between the trees adds to the sense of early morning stillness.

Very calm yet moody image. Nicely captured.

It works for me Rita, quite quirky.

Re: A Hazy Morning
Monte, Greg, John, and Grahame, thank you.
Kay & Geof, I appreciate your feedback. Kay, unfortunately another angle wasn't possible this day. On the left side there is a building and on the right side was some kind of sidewalk repair debris piled up. I will be revisiting this spot so I can try another angle then
Geof, I like your explanation of the trees arguing
I am really thinking that what I saw and felt when I saw this scene didn't quit make it into the image. I will try some crops later to see if I can improve on it.

I think it's great. The composition strikes me as well done. It is a pretty pink sky, and I like the frost? in the taller tree.

Re: A Hazy Morning
I like the image Rita...the scene invokes stillness in the morning, emptiness of a solitary soul to look and wander about. It is this emptiness that makes one feel the embrace of nature, envelop oneself on the beauty of the surroundings. I have tried to move this shot in lytebox to see if there are better cropping options but the mood of the whole scene disappears. I will leave it as is...it will make a good backdrop to a book about a solitary soul's feeling of emptiness s/he feels inside showing the outside...
