On the beach; cold, but calm
The beach (Morriscastle, Co.Wexford, Ireland) was the perfect place for a walk this morning. Intermittent sunshine, temperature at freezing point but no wind. Me, my wife, my dog and the small 'just in case' camera (Olympus Stylus 1).
I liked the pastel shades in the sky and the rest is just using shapes and reflections to try to form a simple but atmospheric composition.
Moral of the story - never leave the camera at home when you go walkies!

Great shot, the foreground could be its own image; subdued colors, reflection all work perfectly.

Beautiful image. I also adore the soft colours, reflections of the beautiful sky... The rippled sand in the foreground is extra special.

So lesson learned, but a pleasing shot nevertheless.
Does the dog want walkies tomorrow too?

I am with Jack's comment here. This one shot can be separated and still stand on its own.

Many thanks Jack, John, Christina, Ian and Izzie. The sand ripples are a really strange phenomenon. I'm not entirely sure how they are formed. It seems to be something to do with slow prolonged tidal flow.
Ian, she takes me out for walkies every day.
