Adding Information to Image Files
Awhile back a few of us got in a conversation about how to add information to an image file. We were specifically discussing XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) information which can include any information you want to record about a photo. Though I use cataloging software to do that, I just now discovered that Windows Explorer in Windows 7 and presumably later versions makes it possible to do that to a limited extent. Simply select an image and review the information shown at the bottom of the screen. As just one example, you can click "Add Comments." Once you've added them, click "Save" to embed the information in the image file.
Hope this helps!
