Nicely composed, great color capture.
I agree with John, Graham,
You may consider it not worth the effort, but if mine, I would clone out the thickest bits of twig intruding at right hand side of frame. If you hold a thumb over them and I think you'll see that without them is a slightly better composition.
I might also take 5% height off the top edge by cropping, e.g. make it about 970 px tall instead of 1023 px.
But I am being really picky mentioning these things, purely in an effort to say something constructive.
Well done for being prepared/quick enough to catch him/her.
Cheers, Dave
Nice shot. That's my favorite position for most birds. The back/top feathers are typically much more interesting than the breast. I got a shot of one of those guys over there fall of '13. Well, our fall, your spring. OK November...
As others have suggested a bit of cropping and cleanup would be even better.
Oops, just went and looked and what i shot were wattle birds, both red and little. They weren't very tasty.

Wonderful shot! Looks like an Audubon painting with so much nice stuff in the foreground and such a beautiful background.
You startled the birdie, Graham...I like where he is, very colourful environment.
Beautiful!
