    Hi Izzie,

I so wanted to ask the owner to move it. The house can stop you in your tracks when photographed correctly, unfortunately I was experimenting with my camera when I took the shot used in the conversion.

    Izzie,

I was trying to push the capabilities of the camera (ISO 4000, 1/60sec, f/4.2) handheld shot.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for the comments. Very little room left on the sides.

The coloured version is good looking too...Well done for ISO 4000 -- can't see any noise at all. On my Project 52 Week 2, I went up to ISO 3200 but I think I dialed the SS too high so I have to fix the noise on On One and I was happy with it. I still have to upload the shot before another reshoot...maybe I can do it while I am here...I was learning how not to use EV and No Flash there actually. And it is your fault for firing up my enthusiasm about setting my ISO higher from your post last year...I am blaming you for that but I am thanking you on the other hand because I am learning my new camera more. Wait till I get my new lens this coming Wednesday...

Very nice John, The house looks like it should have a carriage parked in front of it.

    Izzie,

Didn't mean to add obstacles but glad you are willing to challenge yourself, your equipment and your processing skills. Looking forward to seeing the results.

John - I prefer the original colour version by a large margin. I think what really does it for me is the "Mixed Message" of the warmth of the Christmas lights that are offset by the dark, threatening clouds.

I personally would fix the perspective distortion in this type of shot, but one has to leave enough room on the sides and top of the image to do so. I think this is one reason that I bought a perspective correction lens, as I can get rid of the keystoning when I take the shot; a lot less PP work.

    No problem.
CC(2014) makes changes like this a piece of cake, and kinda fun.
