Great shots! Kinda scary!
An interesting creature. The detail and the pose makes #4 my first choice of this set.
Very interesting and different! I like them. Seems like I had first heard of a water iguana just today! Not the usual sort of thing we see here.
I like the 2nd shot with the head reflected, Graham, and the 4th for the detail. That is a great shot.
These guys turn up anywhere. I live in the middle of town - concrete and bitumen - but I still have one visit my courtyard occasionally. I wonder if they travel through the storm water drains. Glad they keep moving though.
Good set Graham, I especially like No 3 with the separation of texture in the composition.
Although I do not really like lizards, my favourite is #4 for the great detail in it. 70mm -- how close were you at this creature when you took that shot?! I like the eye. For me, #1 is a look-see-here-I-am sort of shot. #2 is really good with the reflection and #3 how it looks like. I had forgotten how big this is...in reality I mean...
No 4 must be the killer shot here. I have not been able to get as good an image of one of these. At a family picnic just over a year ago one of these ran up my son's arm and snatched the sandwich out of his hand.
Very nice set GrahamI like them all .
This is the variety I see. They're about a metre long - or more.

G'day Greg
Their Qld cousins don't get much bigger than about 60-70 centimetres (2 -2.5 feet).
Coold shots. We saw a couple of those guys when we were down there last year. Funny they're so small to be called drogons. But very interesting critters.
