    Brushfoot butterfly ? I think

    By no standards a butterfly expert, as near as I can tell these are a species of Brushfoot, Family Nymphalidae, the first one I enjoy because it looks like I flying right there beside it.

    Both are beautiful images, good color and bokeh. The first is a magical ride on butterfly wings while the second is more a classical nature illustration.

    Pretty pics. They have a watercolor-look to them. Nicely done. I am for some reason wishing that the second one was not tilted to the left a ways.

    I tend to agree with Nick on this point, in fact I suspect you rotated the second image 90 degrees clockwise from capture.
