Nice positioning.
Interesting, but, there are no such things as "sea...gulls", just variations of "gulls"
A unique and interesting perspective.
While technically the Family Lairdae is referred to as Gulls, it's common and widespread to refer to any member of that family as a seagull. Does no harm and is immediately understood as to mean a member of the Laridae family. Unless you can clearly identify the particular species, seagull is as good an appellation as any.
Woooooooooohhh......I like the details of the feathers here...
Great perspective and well done to get it all in focus at that distance.
Can't say that I have seen this angle before, very nice. Love the feather detail.
Very interesting shooting angle GrahamHow did you shoot this ?
Hi Binnur.
It was sitting on the railing on a footbridge and I was able to get quite close as can be seen from the two shots here.
Then when it flew away it dropped towards the water and passed directly below me. I had the camera in burst mode and the first image above was the best of the shots I got looking down at it.
Nicely done indeed, & I was also wondering how on earth you managed to achieve the perspective, so Thankyou for the explanation!
Spectacular capture Graham. Although luck was on your side, it couldn't have happened if you weren't ready, willing and able.![]()
+1. Carpe Diem, Graham. I like that 3rd shot, too. It seems to have a few barnacles on its eyelid.
