    London from Vauxhall Bridge

I have recently been working from London for a couple of days a week, I took the camera in with a 50mm lens on for one week.

One down and three to go - Battersea is being 'developed' and they are removing the chimneys as brick and concrete structures and replacing them with light modern materiel replicas to retain the iconic skyline - this shot was taken early evening, some of the colour was from that lingering light and a lot is from sodiums in the work areas I think. edit - however i suspect the whitebalance was a bit off as well

This is from looking the other way from the bridge - London Eye, this was about 30 mins after the previous shot, there is s slight hint of colour in the clouds but it had gone very flat and grey by then.

    London from Vauxhall Bridge

    C&C always welcome

Hi Mark I loved #1 very nice , clear and lovely colors. IMO the water movement in #2 gives the image an 'out of focus' look , but I like the composition.

Thank you Binnur, I see what you mean, #2 this was the best of two shots as a boat came into the frame of the 2nd shot and that was really blurred and really made it look out of focus

Nice images Mark, I like them both. I think you've handled the exposure well on these.

I must say I'm surprised at what they are doing with the old power station. I guess there are good practical reasons for it but in a way it seems a bit pointless to me - a sort of "artificial heritage". But I don't know the full story of course, and besides it's probably a bit impertinent of a colonial like me to be making comments about the "mother country".

    Thanks Dave,

ah well its that album sleeve really
I dont think anyone would forgive them if they took them away - from the hoardings around the site - they make a big thing that you wont be able to tell the difference once they finish, apart from the fact they will be clean of course !

Well caught Mark, I do like both of them but the first image is just a nose in front
