I was prompted by the nice picture of the banyan tree posted by Shane to show these two pictures from Queensland. The first is a fig tree that looks like a banyan but I believe is different. This is in Brisbane not far from where I live. I took this a couple of days ago.

The second is a strangler fig in the rain forest in Finch Hatton Gorge west of Mackay. This was taken about six weeks ago.
