    Norwegian Express

One of my (very) few attempts at HDR for artistic effect. C&C welcomed.

The artistic effect works quite well for me because it takes on the look of an illustration.

Interesting engine John the big lamp on the front makes me think of American steam trains.

Your image has a look of a painting, I could see it as a Jigsaw Puzzle IYSWIM, well done.

Beautiful shot, John. The HDR gave it a "painting like" look.

    Well done!

Some images, like this one, do very well with dramatic processing. Good choice.

    Re: Norwegian Express

Thanks for your comments all. HDR doesn't always do it for me but I do think that the choice of subject is key. I thought this might just fit the bill.

Peter, I know what you mean about the engine but from memory (of the tour blurb), I think it was a French design but manufactured in Oslo but I couldn't be sure.
