    Joanne, he is a great looking lad... However, I am not really keen on portraits shot up close with relatively wide focal lengths. The distance results in some distortion like extended noses...

    Thanks for your comments Richard, I can see what you mean now that you have pointed it out, where as all I saw was those beautiful eyes...........I'm a sucker for those Baby Blues

    Joanne,

    You did a stunning job capturing him in such a way that his best assets are so pronounced.
    When this image opened on my screen all I saw were two beautiful eyes.

    I would love to see those eyes in colour.

    Prior to reading the thread, I thought the perspective was intentionally distorted just enough to creatively depict the charm and character of the wide-eyed (literally and figuratively) boy at that age. I absolutely love everything about the image. Your conversions to monochrome are always done so well.

    It's probably not meant to be a formal portrait and so the question really is, does it capture his personality? I would guess that it does. Lovely capture.
