I can't follow most of it, so I suppose I'm not a geek - but the conclusions are interesting.
All I need now is some spare cash.

I have not even tried to decipher the bulk of this article but, I am with Glenn in saying the conclusions are very understandable and quite impressive....
Love the chart Glenn, you've got us all wondering now where we sit in the scheme of things ! I like to think I'm all blue but others may disagree.

The 7DII looks like an excellent camera and, if I was a Canon shooter, I would be very happy to have one. Unfortunately, IMO, many folks put to much of their attention on the sensor's performance and not the overall camera. DXO finished their sensor tests on the 7DII a couple of days ago and determined it performs very closely to the Nikon D300s and has a about 2 stops less dynamic range than the sensor in the D7100. Anyone one who has used a D300s can vouch for it's excellent image quality.
Many folks make their buy decisions based on test number differences that really won't have an impact on their photography. These decision should be made on the overall camera's performance, ease of use, available lenses and the like. So before the Nikon versus Canon wars start, I wanted to say that I think Canon has developed an excellent camera in the 7DII.

Yep, I think I'll just skip that and get on with taking pictures .... once my order arrives!
I stuck this in with an existing thread rather than start a new 7D2 thread. This is Tony Northrup's rebuttal to camera reviews regarding the 7DII. His conclusion is to not accept the reviews at face value but investigate the RAW data leading to the rview conclusions...

And then there is this one (which is raising a bit of commotion elsewhere), so rather than start a new thread . . . .

Perhaps Donald's advice is useful - get on with photography.
