    Kiedaisch Point Pano

This is a 7 image pano I created and edited.

I am on the Ohio side of the Ohio River on Kiedaisch Point.

The Ohio River sweeps through a series of bends from left to right. At far left is the defunct Ormet Plant.

I am looking across the river to the upper end of New Martinsville, WV.

To my extreme right is the New Martinsville bridge, and Hannibal Locks and Dam.

    Best viewed in the Lightbox.

    Please C&C.

Nicely captured, no other way to get that swoop of the waterway.

Very nicely done. It reminds me of when I was looking over the Ohio River once, but from Indiana. It was a nice view, similar to that, though probably not quite as scenic.

Due to the overcast skies, it isn't a vibrant as if it were sunny, of course, but who knows how long you would have to wait till that changed this time of year. It was well captured. Learning how to do panoramas would be fun.

    Nick,

I actually took advantage of the skies to get this pano. The water looks like, well, water and the skies were cloudy, not just grey. There was some sun peeking through on the right.

One temptation would have been to over-saturate in an effort to compensate for any flatness, but i really wanted to keep the rendition as natural as possible.

You are right. I do love panos. I have seen some nice vertical ones on this forum as well.

    John and Frank,

I love being up on this point because you can really appreciate how the Ohio River meanders and bends on its way downstream.
