Re: Grand Canyon - Part 4
Chuck -- I have goose pimples just looking at these. #1, 2 and 3 is most preferred here for me. Sometimes I wonder if one can really follow the riverways by foot or something in places like those...down to where the water falls. Or does one need a helicopter?

Re: Grand Canyon - Part 4
Your first shot is excellent - I could look at the shapes in there for hours. Definitely a wallhanger

I see that one advantage of taking 16 days is having more time to venture into the side canyons. National Canyon and North Canyon are my favorites.

Re: Grand Canyon - Part 4
Thanks to all. Izzie, it would very difficult to visit all of the places on foot. Maybe it has been done once, but I doubt it. Helicopters are not an option. The would be illegal, and not practical in a lot of locations. Mike, the side canyon trips were my favorite part of the experience. Magical places.
I am attaching a photo of Elves Chasm to help get a sense of size of the waterfall. The person in the photo jumped from the top of the lower falls.

Mightily impressive photography. Each image stands on its own, but as a set they fit together wonderfully.
The lesson for me is that when I think about the Grand Canyon (and I have visited it once) you think about the wide vistas and the sunset shots. What these images show us, however, is that to concentrate on detail and small areas can be as, if not more, effective at telling the story of a place.

That is one trip I've always wanted to take but will likely not get the chance. Your images are an inspiration!

Good job on these photos Chuck. I think the first of this set stands out the most.
