Is that just a single frame, Kim? Great management of difficult lighting. Good composition.

What makes this for me as much as anything is that patch of light on the ferns in the FG. Makes for a very strong lead into the rest of the image. So I agree with Donald, good composition and well seen.

    Really nice, Kim.

I like the light, shadows and angles. I am glad that you did not over-emphasize the graffiti, as the lines take back through the frame.

Nicely captured, both alive and desolate.

I will agree with the others. Excellently composed and executed. The fall leaves work well to give colour and add to the abandoned feel.

Definitely a subject for further exploration.

The image demonstrates your improving eye for composition and your continued growth in other areas of photography so much that I look forward to seeing more photos of this facility. I don't remember if you have a polarizer, but it would have helped minimize or eliminate the glare in the foreground leaves.

Interesting image Kim and well executed.

Do you know what the building was used for? There appears to be a pit in the centre, possibly a garage but the low entrance goes against that theory and those are some pretty thick walls

Kim! what a wonderful shot you did here...the backlighting works very well as well as the composition...I agree with Donald and the rest of the comment-ers...well worth re-exploring...just remove the No Trespassing sign and you're in...just be careful...

Thanks everyone. Appreciate you all taking the time to comment. :-)

Grahame, I believe it may have been some sort of animal farm. On the other side there was a Silo - something I would like to capture next time. I was a bit afraid that I was going to get chased out.
