Nice shooting. Both are nice but #2 stands out.

The falling snow in the background of the first really adds to the overall feel.

Try a tighter crop so the bird (what species is this) is more dominant. My suggestion is just below the out of focus leaf above the head and then a bit of a panoramic crop but try others to see what you like. The image is good, the leaf is a bit of a distraction.

I love that first shot, Jordan. We don't have snow around here, but that image looks cold to me.

Both are extremely beautiful. Well done technically, as far as I can tell. Reminds me of those special days in May where I'm from, rather that fall, but places are different.

Brrrr....I wish ours will not come as bad as that this year...we have such wonders from last year and being from Melbourne, I am not looking forward to the cold. The second pic with the birdie is very nice too. I like the expression on its face. But I agree with Trevor -- it needs cropping.

I like the shots very much I think the empty bright space at the bottom part of#1 is a bit competing with the big leaf in the middle. So I would crop just a bit of it. I also agree with Trevor about the crop of #2.
