We had a professional photographer come and judge at our club a few months ago. He made a remark that I found interesting. He said that when selling his prints he adjusts the saturation slightly depending on the country he is sending them to. For instance in general the Australians prefer more saturated prints than the NZ market.
Trevor the second shot (my preference) would look good as a panorama cropped above the tops of the distant yellow trees and a slither taken off the right to avoid chopping a poor animal in half.
