Nice shot Wm.
And here I thought I invented “putzing around”!
I invented the phrase “new and improved” which made me a lot of money, and I also invented waiting in line…
…which didn’t exactly work out the way I had hoped!
Nice image!Does this mean you want us to call you a putz?

Great perspective, William, you've captured the colour and essential detail in one shot.
Um, not the same as futzing around. In any case, a nice image, but I think it would be improved by more light in the anthers.

Thank you all for the comments guys, but now ya gotta listen to a story...
it's Friday evening, I'm tired and cranky, having just returned from grocery shopping with six kids,
always a joy unto itself. I'm sitting there having coffee with my head down, resting my brain.
the oldest said "Dad, you OK, what do you want" "I'm tired and I wanna be left alone" I said.
She comes back with "well, you shoulda thought of that before adopting six kids"
I rolled on the floor laughing.![]()
Great story, Chauncey. I even read it to my wife.
And me, growing up with a Yiddish background, hears the word, PUTZ........
Oy.
'Rie
Of course, there is a stronger alternative...![]()

Nope. "Futz" is am American slang word meaning something like "fiddle around without much direction." "I didn't really know how to fix it, but I futzed around with it for a while." "Putz" is aYiddish vulgar term for a certain body part, used as an insult. "Did you see how obnoxious he was to them? What a putz." A very expressive language, Yiddish has another vulgar synonym that is more insulting.
According to dictionary.com, futz probably has a vulgar origin, perhaps as a variant of putz.
But it really is a nice shot.

told her brother to shut-up or we would to tie him to the hood and pretend that he was a dead deer.
My 2nd wife was Jewish, both terms were used a lot...hence, the reason for my confusion.but I futzed around with it for a while." "Putz" is a Yiddish vulgar term for a certain body part, used as an insult.
