All you have left to do now is to convince me that you did this on purpose! ;-)

The main blossom came out very well, and the diagonal works well. However, I find the bright leaves on the right bothersome; they don't add much, and they are bright enough to draw the eye away from the flower. I would either get rid of that or darken it. For example, if you don't mind folks suggesting edits, what about the simple crop below? (I'll remove it if you object to people editing your images.)

Hey Dan, very nice… if one assumes that this was a flower photo!

What if Brian's artistic intent was to include the beautiful "jungle" kind of graphic
element the background leafs were bringing to the shot?

I don't mind suggesting crops when an omission or a nuisance is in the way but
Brian's original has such strong features, IMO, that eliminating them is not
the better solution… curious to see how the photographer will react to this suggestion!

Actually I love it when someone takes the time to play with one of my shots. I prefer my focal point to be top left rather than bottom right. As well your crop would work better for me if the top left blossom was still all there?

Undeniably Brian, and I think you did well. Did you consider the leafs as element
    in your picture?

Absolutely. Moving in from top left and bottom right the focus becomes sharper and the leafs and the background are needed to put the blossoms into context.
