Yes they are colourful and this one looks pretty pleased with itself and obviously looks a little down on a mere photographer. Cropping a little could get rid of the slightly distracting bits in the right hand corners.

wow!.... this is very great, but i think you should have not centered the subject. you should have applied the Rule of Thirds. so that it could tell us more stories than leaving it that plan. any way am pleased of your great eye in this caption
This rainbow lorikeet is indeed a good looking bird well photographed. It is very nice to find it sitting on a banksia like that.
Thanks Tony for pointing out that it is a banksia it is standing on...I was thinking of bottlebrush and I googled the plant only to find different leaf shapes instead of what is shown here with the lorikeet...
Very nice shot, Anne...she is really beautiful...
Anne,
Nicely captured. The bird does appear to have a bit of an attitude.
Good shot, Anne. The banksia makes the shot for me. You actually have the little bugga at the apex of a triangle in this shot, which is where I am sure it thinks it belongs. Yeah, they are pretty ... but only until you get sick of their screeching.
Thank you for all the positive comments.
I am a 'press the shutter and hope for the best' kind of person. One day I hope to have enough time to learn the art of photography rather than hoping for the best!
Beautiful and on an interesting perch. Paul's crop is an improvement IMO. Nicely captured.
Very nice and colorful![]()
Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous colour and detail.I too prefer the crop because it places more attention on the beautiful bird.
Beautiful capture Anne. How we enjoyed them when we visited there last year.
