Nicely captured John and just enough detail in the building.

    Not quite, Grahame! IMO.

…but you're right, John, those are very credible colours and good rendition.

Colors ARE great, very pastelly and the building lends a good look.
But I dunno if I can believe you about this so called sun rise; heard talk about it for years, like Sasquatch or the chupacabre but no one ever seems to get irrefutable proof. Sure this wasn't just a sunset and you just flipped the image ;-)

    Jack,

    David,

Thanks for the comments. I'll have to do some history checking on the design, I'm not sure of the function but this is the top of a restaurant.

Nah, Bar-L isn't that elegant!! (For the very few who may not know (!) Barlinnie (or Bar-L) is Scotland's largest prison. Built at the time of the Napoleonic wars to house French prisoners of war, it now needs to be bulldozed). There, you learned something today.

    David,

Did a quick check and the design is 1878 Tuscan replication; or as close as could be constructed with the structure at top a cupola.

Hi John I love this shot . Lovely colours and I like the composition very much. The details in the building seem enough to me , because it is a silhouette photo and IMO making the details more visible would make the image look unnatural. So, I agree with Grahame, just enough details

Beautiful colours ... I've seen quite a few from my backyard but not as stunning as this one...

Indeed, cameras do tend to make colored skies look unnatural, but those colors look very natural to me.
