Brilliant exposure. First impression was that it could have done with less water; i.e. cropping a bit off the bottom. The edge of the water is just a bit above the 'third'.

Very good Agata. You even got the Pyramid tower in (an impressive building, I remember that well). I agree that a slight crop of the water would finish it off. It's a nice city isn't it?

I hate to disagree with my learned colleagues, but in Agata's defence; having zoomed in until it was full screen to assess the composition, then 'finger caliper' measured the distance from edge of picture (not image), there seems to be almost exactly twice that above the river line to the top edge of picture.

Given Agata's apparent desire to keep to 600 x 400 (including top and bottom borders), I think this is the best compromise. If there were more flexibility in format, I agree I'd actually take slightly more off the river than the sky, and make it a much wider (or less tall) image.

While I was editing, I might have a selective play with the white balance in different areas, the buildings look a little too magenta for my liking, but the sky colour is so weak compared to the river, that we cannot afford to lose anymore saturation from there, so it (more green) would have to be carefully applied to the buildings only. Of course, that would be messing with nature, because the buildings should be the colour they are now when illuminated by that sky.

    Cheers,

to bad due to the long exposure the water always looks like ice
think if you lower it a bit (more sky than water) i like it more

    Thanks for the feedback guys!
I'll play with different crops and I'll try to change color balance selectively, as Dave said. I don't like to do it, but I'm curious of results

    i think this is gorgeous!
one of my favorite cities ever... and like Terry, i'm partial to the image as is.
but then, i'm not a fan of cropping post process.
anyway, this is a brilliant image!
