Beautiful! Gorgeous colours and wonderful detail. King Tut looks very regal (aptly named)
If able to photograph him again and again, try to have him facing you without the fence in the background.
Gorgeous image!
What a well groomed fella Irene, well captured and wonder how easy it would be to get him to pose facing you.
Irene,
Photography is right up your sleeve. A sharp, nicely saturated, well exposed image.
You got a very good eye for composition.
Keep it coming!
Irene....he is so beautiful....your shot made it more so. Over your way, do you need to have a farm to have those kind of birds in your backyard? Is King Tut your alarm clock? We used to have a lot of these when we were young but then we live in a big farm...I know it is 4am when they make a noise...

[QUOTE=IzzieK;433386]. Over your way, do you need to have a farm to have those kind of birds in your backyard?
Thank you Izzie. Animals are not allowed within the town limits- but then we live out in the country where there is wildlife as well as domestic. We have elk, deer, bear, cougar, coyote, and moose in the area.
Hi Irene,
Just to say that it is not so easy or always possible to capture critters facing you and/or looking at you. Your image is beautiful as captured!
I agree with the others that a cleaner background would be preferable, but I like the pose as it adds to your title and words that he struts around - you have captured that well with him at this angle
