    Cranes of Kobe, Japan

Just picked up a Canon G11 and these are the first results. The seaport of Rokko Island in Kobe is beautiful. The cranes fill the skyline all over Kobe. Thought I would try some different views.

How do you find the G11? Is that the one where they have reduced the MP level (over the G10) to get better images? The certainly look OK.

The Canon G11 seems like a nice camera for someone just getting into more advanced photography. I had to leave my Canon 7D at home and bought this for my granddaughter for her to learn with but while in Japan I am testing it out. Canon did reduce the pixels to 10M but the images are supposed to be better. You can shoot raw and jpeg also. It has all the other advanced functions of TV, AV etc.

The images are good but the macro will take some practice.

Love #2, the reflection is great. Wish the sunlit ones weren't quite so bright.
