ACTION SHOTS Mini Competition #1

The idea here is shots that are not posed, where the primary purpose of the subject is not to help you create a good image. And where there's something going on.

In the site suggestions forum, there's some discussion about a Sports & Action forum. Dave made the suggestion to do a mini-comp based on part of that, so here we go. This will certainly be a very active mini-comp, right?


Here's how it works ...

- You good folks post images of ACTION in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

- When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

- After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

- If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forums

The idea was to explore some of the limits when we can't set something up the way we like, or retry things. This may be a little borderline, since you can keep tossing the toy at the cat, but if we had rules, this wouldn't be an art. Oh, wait a second, that's another thread.

Yes Ron I tried all the automatic things I should have tried when I bought the camera; except for the predictive focus I forgot about and I didn't know how to set exposure compensation, I just assumed it would be obvious but since found out you have to set focus then within four secs turn the big dial.
