To me 'high-key' doesn't mean burnt out whites. Not sure it can be done 'in-camera' with this subject. One would need to expose for the white feathers in the sun and then mask out the water, or considerably reduce it ... as it is it distracts from the birds

If you search the posts on here for high key you will find several on high key shots. The best name to look for amongst the posters is Colin. He's explained what it is and posted examples fairly recently but there are a lot of posts on here every day so you may need to scan through a lot of them. There may also be some information in the tutorials which can be searched of the home page. Fairly sure there is actually.
