    Coolest Lightning Photo So Far!

    Hi Everybody,

Last time I posted my lightning photos here you guys seemed to like it. I just had another storm roll through and I was able to grab a few shots from my driveway. This one picture out of twenty came out very well I think. What do you think? Doesn't the street lamp kinda add to the cool factor?

    Zak,

IMHO, the street light competes with the lightning, which is actually getting lost in processing.

You have posted some nice examples of cloud to cloud lightning, tho.

Ok, I appreciate your guys opinions. I've photoshopped out the street lamp and made the image stop competing with the street lamp lighting. What do you think?

That seems to be the consensus I'm getting on Facebook too. Glad I edited it. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi Zak,

I prefer the second version, but looking at that, the bits that hold my interest are towards the lower left of the composition.

Therefore, if mine (you don't have to agree with me or do this), I would crop 20% off the top edge and 15% off the right side of #2 as I believe this places the 'streaks of interest' better within the frame.

    Just my tuppence worth,
