Here is my latest flower photo - the garden is full and a photographers dream (when the gardener in me allows). This is a Scabius which if allowed self seeds into the grass - the bees love it and so do I

Excellent! Did not expect such enthusiasm and images. I use a black drape for the background whenever I need to take flowers indoors, works well. With Macro lenses and anything above f/8 I get a nice blur or darker background outdoors.

This was taken in open sunlight.

I call this shot 'Shall we Dance" - taken some time ago but still a favourite of mine!

We have this yucca plant for about 6 years. This is the first time it had a flower.

(It's bloomed out now, and I'm trying to figure out a safe way to cut the remaining stalk - those leaves are needle sharp!)

So true! - but sometimes the background adds to the sense the setting for a blossom - as, sort of, here, with this little stand of Trillium.

It's made in google picasa called focal zoom. Your photo is outstanding.

    Thanks Travis.

Kaye's and the image of mine share a remarkable resemblance of colours. Nice images everyone.

Kris, be careful, maybe use long pliers or similar.

Don't know what these bells are but I like the colours.

A couple more tricky shots from today.

    Plants & Flowers.

Monkeyflower. In an overgrown wildlife pond. Eventually managed by shooting from the edge and exposing for the yellows.

And another attempt at something which keeps giving me problems. The tiny (5mm) flowers of Water Figwort.
